We are giddy with excitement here at Hippy & Bloom Photography which is no mean feat in these trying times! Here’s why?

We had our very first branding photo shoot with Eva Blake Photography at our local beach. As Family and Motherhood photographers ourselves it was our turn to be on the other side of the camera. Sharon was organising outfits the day before – the fun part and came down with a horrendous migraine for the rest of the day. She got into her own head. Her mind playing tricks on her. I need to loose weight. I’m not good enough. I can’t do this!

I, on the other hand stuck my head in the computer excited for us but keeping myself busy and leaving everything to the last minute so I didn’t have too much time to think about it all. Taking the “Ignorance is bliss” approach.

We both couldn’t sleep. We were vulnerable and we knew it. 

But here’s the thing, we went for it! Guided perfectly and in the very capable hands of Eva Blake. We came away on an absolute high- feeling like super models, empowered and full of confidence-And why not! 

It’s true-we are not super models. But we deserve to feel what we felt that morning. It was more than taking photographs- it was about being vulnerable and being ok with that, embracing who we are, our ‘imperfect’ body shapes, suddenly perfect! Documenting our friendship and our chapter, our success our failures and everything we have worked hard for.

The reason I am telling you all of this is because this is what we want for all our clients. We want you to feel every bit the way we felt that morning because we feel you’ve earned it!
